Instructions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
Prepare the Peaches:
Wash the peaches and cut them in half. Remove the pits.
Place the peach halves, cut side up, in the prepared baking dish.
Make the Topping:
In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract until well combined.
Assemble the Peaches:
Spoon the butter-sugar mixture evenly over the cut side of each peach half.
If using, sprinkle the chopped nuts over the top of the peaches.
Bake the Peaches:
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the peaches are tender and the topping is caramelized.
Serve:
Remove the baked peaches from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes.
Drizzle with honey or maple syrup if desired.
Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
