Cheesy Bacon & Egg Sunshine Bake

Ingredients
  

  • 8 large eggs
  • 2 cups 475ml whole milk
  • 10 slices 250g bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 cups 225g shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 cups 300g cubed white bread (about 6 slices)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  • Spread the bread cubes evenly across the bottom of the dish.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until smooth.
  • Sprinkle bacon and half the cheese over the bread.
  • Pour the egg mixture evenly over the top, making sure all bread is coated.
  • Add the remaining cheese on top.
  • Bake for 30–35 minutes, until the center is set and the top is golden.
  • Let rest 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
