Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
Spread the bread cubes evenly across the bottom of the dish.
In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until smooth.
Sprinkle bacon and half the cheese over the bread.
Pour the egg mixture evenly over the top, making sure all bread is coated.
Add the remaining cheese on top.
Bake for 30–35 minutes, until the center is set and the top is golden.
Let rest 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
