  • 1 serving bowl

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup mixed nuts (such as almonds, cashews, and peanuts)

  • 1/2 cup dried fruit (such as raisins, cranberries, or apricots)
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips or chunks (optional, for a sweet touch)

  • 1/4 cup whole grain cereal
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions
 

  • 1.    In a large mixing bowl, combine all yourchosen ingredients.
  • 1.    If you're adding chocolate chips, coconutflakes, or cereal, wait until the end to mix them in.
  • Toss all the ingredients together until they are well combined.
  • Portion the trail mix into individual serving sizes or store it in an airtight container for later use.
  • If you're taking it on the trail or as a snack, consider packing it in small resealable bags or containers for convenience.
