Fascinating History and Origin of Turkey Taco; Turkey tacos have become one of the most beloved variations in modern taco culture, offering a lean, flavorful alternative to traditional beef tacos and capturing the appetites of home cooks across North America. Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups cooked shredded turkey
  • 8 small taco shells hard or soft
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar, Monterey Jack, or Mexican blend
  • 1/2 cup salsa

Instructions
 

  • Warm the turkey:
  • Place the shredded turkey in a skillet over medium heat for 2–3 minutes, just until warmed through. (You can also warm it in the microwave if preferred.)
  • Prepare taco shells:
  • Warm soft tortillas in a skillet or microwave, or heat hard taco shells according to package directions.
  • Assemble tacos:
  • Divide the shredded turkey evenly among all taco shells.
  • Add toppings:
  • Sprinkle each taco with shredded cheese, then add shredded lettuce and a spoonful of salsa.
  • Serve immediately:
  • Enjoy as-is or add optional toppings like sour cream or guacamole if desired.
